  2. I spent the 4th on the Mall one year when we lived in that area. It was 100 degrees and must have been a million people. Thought I was going to die. Needless to say I didn't do it again. But being in D.C. is an incredible time no matter when you're there.

  3. Nice photo. We lived near there but didn't realize they upgraded the area near the flagpoles with nice benches.

  4. They did a nice job of refurbishing the area around the Washington Monument, but they removed a large, free parking area.

    I guess that is progress... :c(
